Crane Rail Pad

Crane rail pad is an elastic layer installed between the steel sole plate and the crane rail. Made primarily of natural rubber, synthetic rubber, polyurethane, and composite materials, it effectively improves load distribution, reduces vibration, and extends the service life of the crane rail system.

Continuous and Discontinuous Crane Rail Rubber Pads

To accommodate the varying structural forms of steel sole plates, crane rail rubber pads are available in continuous and discontinuous types.

Continuous crane rail pads

Continuous crane rail pads are primarily used in conjunction with continuous steel sole plates. They are long strips and can be tailored to the length of the steel sole plates. They provide continuous support underneath the entire crane rail and are suitable for crane rail systems operating under heavy loads and high-frequency conditions.

Discontinuous crane rail pads

Discontinuous rubber pads are cut to the size of individual steel sole plates and installed above each steel sole plate. They offer flexible installation and facilitate partial replacement. They are primarily used in medium-load rail systems or applications requiring modular maintenance.

Main Function of the Crane Rail Pad

Buffer and shock absorption

  • When the crane wheels pass through the track, the crane rail pad absorbs the impact force and vibration through elastic deformation, thereby reducing the instantaneous impact load on the lifting rail and foundation structure.
  • Effectively increase the service life of heavy-duty crane rails and high-frequency transportation crane rail systems.

Noise Reduction

  • The crane rail pad is sandwiched between the steel sole plate and the crane rail, effectively reducing metal-to-metal contact and noise during operation.
  • For indoor applications requiring high noise control, such as indoor overhead cranes or port cranes, this can significantly improve the working environment.

Evenly distributes loads

  • Crane rail pads effectively and evenly distribute the load from the crane rails to the substructure, preventing uneven loading that could cause concrete cracking or damage to components.
  • They can also effectively compensate for height differences in uneven foundations.

Corrosion Resistance
Effectively reduces direct erosion of the iron plate and roadbed by moisture, oil, and chemicals, making it particularly suitable for port and open-air track environments.
